The soundtrack to Wabi-Sabi is now out. It is a comedic short film directed by my friend Josephine Green Zhang. It's about when an insecure, half Japanese woman is invited on a date to a traditional tea ceremony, her best friend's advice on how to avoid white-guys-with-Asian-fetishes threatens to ruin her love life and sanity.
I got to write all kinds of different styles of music for this (everything from City Pop, to traditional Japanese, to classical, jazz, and rock), and included many of the cues left on the cutting room floor in the soundtrack, so there's much to listen to!
